Awards
Each year, the Jim Thorpe Association honors athletes and other individuals at all levels for accomplishments on and off the field. To learn more about the individual awards, click the links.
- The Jim Thorpe Award
- The Jim Thorpe Award is given annually to the top defensive back in NCAA Division 1-A football.
- The Oklahoma All-State Football Team
- The Jim Thorpe Association and the Daily Oklahoman honor the top high-school football players in Oklahoma.
- Lifetime Achievement Award
- This is the highest award presented by the Jim Thorpe Association without consideration of athletic accomplishments.
- Abe Lemons Award
- The Abe Lemons Award is presented to a member of the Jim Thorpe Executive Council.
- Oklahoma High Schools Player of the Year Awards
- The Jim Thorpe Player of the Year Awards are presented to an outstanding athlete in each sport included in the All-State Games.
- Oklahoma Athlete of the Year
- The Jim Thorpe Athlete of the Year award is given to an Oklahoma-area collegiate athlete.
- Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame Award of Merit
- This award is presented to exceptional Jim Thorpe Association staff members and volunteers.
