Joe Carter

Carter, an All-American from Millwood High School in Oklahoma City played 16 seasons in major league baseball from 1983-1998. The outfielder was the 1981 College Player of the Year while at Wichita State University. He was the number two pick in the 1981 draft by the Chicago Cubs and later played in 12 World Series Games, batting .277 with four homeruns and 11 RBIs.

Carter is remembered best by his three-run, ninth inning homer off the Phillies Mitch Williams that gave the Blue Jays their second straight World Series in 1993.

Carter became just the tenth player in history to hit 300 career homeruns and steal 200 bases. He left Toronto in 1997 as the Blue Jay's all-time homerun leader.
