Kelli Litsch is a four-time All-American basketball standout from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. She led the Lady Bulldogs to three national titles, two undefeated seasons and compiled a four-year record of 129-5. Litsch was selected as the NAIA Tournament MVP in 1983, 1984, 1985, NAIA Academic All-American in 1984, 1985, and Champion Sports Products NAIA Player of the Year in 1983, 1984 and 1985.
She set NAIA Division I tournament scoring records with 257 points, still ranking 7th all-time. She was the leading scorer in the 1983 and 1985 tournament with a combined 160 points in seven games. She is also 8th all-time rebounder with 110 rebounds in 11 tournament games.
After graduation, Litsch served as the Lady Bulldogs assistant basketball coach, helping to lead the team to two more national titles in 1987 and 1990. In 10 years as the assistant, she helped guide SWOSU to a 278-49 record.
The Thomas High School graduate was the first women’s basketball player to be inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame in 1991. She was also inducted into the SWOSU Athletic Hall of Fame in 1990.
Litsch currently serves as SWOSU’s assistant athletic director and compliance coordinator. She received a bachelor’s degree from SWOSU in elementary education in 1985 and a Master’s degree in physical education in 1986.
