Price's remarkable basketball career began at Enid, where he was named Oklahoma High School Player of the Year in 1982. He played college ball at Georgia Tech where he made All Conference three times.
During his 12-year career in the NBA, Price scored over 10,000 points and became the best career free throw shooter in the NBA history at 90.4%. He also made over 40% of the three-point shots he attempted. Price holds Cleveland Cavaliers team records for assists, steals, free-throw percentage and three-point field goals made and attempted.
A four-time NBA All-Star, Price averaged 15.2 points and 6.7 assists per game over his career. He also finished with 860 steals and made 960 three pointers before retiring in 1998.
