The Jim Thorpe Association, in cooperation with the Oklahoma Coaches Association, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and McDonald’s Restaurants, present the Jim Thorpe Player of the Year Awards to an outstanding athlete in each sport included in the All-State Games.

These athletes are judged on athletic performance, character, coachable attitude, unselfish spirit and academics.
